Yoga Sequence for Sinus Relief By Leighanne Buchanan, YSN President

My favorite pose to help drain the sinuses is supported bridge pose using a block. You will know within 10 seconds if this is the right pose for you.(Skip this pose during menstruation or if you have glaucoma.) You will either feel the sinuses begin to drain with a breath of relief or you feel increased pressure. If you feel increased pressure in the sinuses come out of the pose and practice savasana with torso elevated instead.

If you have more time practice setu bandah sarvangasana followed by Savasana with torso on a bolster and head wrapped with an elastic bandage to give comfort to painfully swollen sinuses. Elevate the head with a blanket so the forehead is higher than the heart.
